This One Thing Taught Me More Than The Last 5

Sunday, May 16th, 2010

I’m going to make this very very short!

I received and email a few days ago announcing this new product called Cash Code. At first I didn’t want to try it because some of the recent products I tried out just didn’t help me with anything, but the more I read about it the more it seemed like something that could help me.

I bought the product! And yes I’ve already been through it!

here’s proof (yes it is one of the PLR products from them, but it just goes to show you can do it in a matter of an hour… I put this page up VERY quickly)

What you get:

  • 3 PLR websites ready to adapt and uploadincluding extensive videos to show you how to do get it adapted and online (they didn’t leave anything out!)
  • Video Series on Affiliate Marketing
  • Video Series on Targeting Traffic from Twitter
  • Ton’s of Bonuses

http://www.thecashcode.com

I have already applied many of the things I learned to several of my other websites and feel confident that I can quickly and easily recreate what they did with the PLR sites in making my own new sites.

Seriously, You need to give this a look!

Quit Overcomplicating by Terry Dean

Monday, May 10th, 2010

One of the BIGGEST reasons people fail in their business or simply sit in place never growing is because they’re overcomplicating everything!

In many cases it’s not even their fault.  The trainers in the internet marketing industry have a goal of making everything much more complicated than it is.

Because if they can convince you how difficult it is, you’ll have to worship at their feet and buy whatever they have to sell you.  In other words, there are many people in this industry who really don’t want to solve your problem!

Instead of their products being designed to solve your problem, they’re simply organized to make themselves look like a genius while you are stuck being a member of their fan club…waiting desperately for your next word from them.

What I’ve discovered over the past decade plus is that once you REALLY understand a subject, I mean really understand it from multiple variations, it becomes simple.

So simple sometimes that you slap yourself on the forehead…and wonder what you’ve been thinking all this time.

Let’s take SEO.  I could dazzle with all the techniques here.  But the fact is you want to build a page about a buying keyword phrase.  You put it in your title, in your image alt tag, and make sure to actually write an article about the topic (this will cover most of the other elements on its own).

Then you need links, and the BEST links are from QUALITY sites.  This means you systematically go out and work on getting these high quality links for your site.

We can try to overcomplicate this if you want.  Or we can spend months discussing all the little itty bitty variations here, but that is the bottom line of what you need to do.

But everyone overcomplicates the matter because they’re busy trying to trick Google with whichever whiz-bang new seo software of the day.

What about your overall business?

We can talk about how big your social media list…or how much traffic your site gets…or how many times your site has been mentioned on Digg…

But the real question is…how is your cashflow?

Are you making sales or products, services, advertising, etc.?

The majority of my readers do not run a large company with venture capital backing them.  As a small business entrepreneur it’s all about cashflow.  If you’re not bringing in more than you’re spending, your business is failing.

To get into profits, you must concentrate on the most important elements.

QUIT majoring on the minors – like what color your website is (unless it’s unreadble), which keyword research software is the best, or how to 100% protect your digital products from doing stolen (if you’re not selling many anyway – who cares).

FOCUS on the MAJOR profit centers of your business…where the money comes from!

1. Find people who are BUYING stuff.

I want to find an audience who is already proven to be buying stuff.  There are a lot of places you can do this research such as the Clickbank marketplace, Amazon best sellers, or over at Nextmark.com (you can research mailing lists of actual buyers here).

2. Entice them onto your list with a GOOD gift.

Get them onto your mailing list by providing them an enticing gift that helps solve one of their problems.  Then follow up on them, building relationship and making sales.  As much as the internet has grown and advanced, a small business income is still directly tied to their lists (email lists and customer lists).

3. Offer them BETTER stuff.

Make offers.  Create products or offer other people’s items to your list, but always try to find a way to make your offer unique and better than others in the market.  This is what it’s all about in the end…making sales.

I feel a lot of people have forgotten why they’re in business.  It’s not just to build an audience.  It’s to build a buying audience which means you have to follow up and offer them products and services they desperately want.

If you want to follow a simple system for building your own internet information empire…along with checklists that simplify each step along the way, check out http://www.thetruthprints.com today.  It’s not about making things more complicated.  It’s about understanding the truth and building a profitable business to support your family TODAY and in the future.

Create Your Center of Influence

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009

——————————————————
How to Create a ‘Center of Influence’
(c) Charlie Page
——————————————————

Let’s begin with a short quiz. One question. No pressure.

1. What is the best type of advertising?

When asked this question many people answer “the kind that works!”

While no one can disagree with that, I submit that the BEST type of
advertising is the one that is most overlooked.

I’m talking about word of mouth advertising.

While targeted email, banner ads, billboard ads, and even
television ads all have their place, nothing compares to the power
of word of mouth advertising.

Here’s why.

When one person tells another person about your product or service,
the very fact that they are speaking about you constitutes an
endorsement.

While people might not trust advertising (in fact, they don’t) they
DO trust people they know.

If Jane feels strongly enough about what you offer to tell Jim, Jim
will take notice even if Jane gets the facts wrong.

When Jane tells 15 or 20 Jims, she has become a center of influence.

How can we develop a powerful word of mouth advertising campaign in
our businesses?

By recognizing, developing and rewarding those people who can
become a ‘center of influence’ in our lives.

It’s done in three steps. Let’s look at each step.

====> 1. RECOGNITION

In order to become a true *center* of influence, a person needs to
be in regular contact with the type of people who can benefit from
what you do. This begs a critical question.

Do you know what your ideal prospect looks like? Once you know, do
this.

* List the type of clients that you would like to have more of.
List what makes them an ideal client for you (they need what you
do, they are open to change, etc.)

* Find common characteristics. Do these super clients go to the
symphony, play golf, visit certain web sites, participate in online
forums?

As much as you can, be where they are.

* Get to know them on their turf. Let them see you at events they
attend. Volunteer to help their favorite charity. Make yourself
visible. Before people will buy and recommend us, they need to get to
know and TRUST us.

====> 2. Development

This is NOT manipulation, but education.

Have you ever had someone you know buy what you sell from a
competitor because they just didn’t know YOU sold it?

We are not at the top of people’s minds. They have kids, mortgages,
college to pay for, as well as work pressures, just like we do.

We need to position ourselves at the top of their minds by being in
constant contact. We have so many tools at our disposal for this
purpose. Here are three to start with.

* Send them an email once a week to announce something new in your
business.

* Phone them to say hello and announce your next big event. Ask
them how they are first, and keep notes so you have a point of
contact for the next call.

* A personal note works very well for developing this type of
relationship. Have you written a new article or been in the
newspaper? Write a brief note and send it along. Notes take time,
which shows
that you value this relationship.

* Use social media to stay in touch.

Today we have so many more options than ever before.

Only a few decades ago we used the phone and mailed letters. Then
came pagers and cell phones.

Next came email and instant messaging.

Today we can tweet, poke, write on a wall and comment, all thanks
to the new wave of social media.

By the time the ink dries on this article there will undoubtedly be
more new ways to stay in touch.

It does not matter what new and cool-sounding name we give them …
what matters is that we learn about them and use the ones that fit
us and are productive.

Like most things in life, they have their use and their popularity
will ebb and flow. But by all means – use them to stay in touch if
you can!

Just keep your communications real, honest and transparent and you
will do well.

====> 3. Reward

No, I am NOT talking about only money here. This relationship goes
much deeper than that.

What I am saying is that, while you are getting to know them better
and educating them about what you do, take the time to LISTEN to
their needs.

When you can meet one of their needs, do it immediately. This
person is important to your business. Don’t TELL them, SHOW them
how important they are.

If this relationship does not include reciprocity, it will
degenerate into a ‘what’s in it for me’ situation that will not
stand the test of time.

Please understand that these relationships must be open and honest
in order to work. People like to help other people, especially
those they know and trust.

Here’s the thing – you know several people right now who could
easily become centers of influence for you!

They are in your address book right now. They are visiting your
blog today. They are buying your products or on a teleseminar you
are listening to.

They just don’t know yet that they will someday become an advocate
for you. But you know it, and now you can act on it and begin
looking for, and working with, key people who can help you succeed
online. And you can help them in return!

Develop that trust relationship with people who are well positioned
to help you. You must earn their referrals.

When you do, your marketing will become supercharged with what is
clearly the best form of advertising … positive word of mouth.

And THAT is a beautiful thing indeed!

Internet Marketing for Newbies!

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009

Hey guys,

I will be sharing with you many different resources that I find out on the web. I have been doing this for quite some time and will be sharing with you everything that I personally find to be of value.

The first resource I’d like to offer is a free report specifically for NEWBIES…

Here’s a sample of the kind of information you will get!
A Return To Simplicity

Subtitle: The 6 Things You Gotta Know To Put Your Formula
Together

By Marlon Sanders

Let’s return to simplicity.

There are all kinds of complicated things you can do to
market online.  But let’s just look at the simple things
we know work.

The following formula will work for you whether you have
your OWN products to sell or you’re promoting affiliate products.

There are 6 basic things you gotta know to get your
Formula working for you:

1.  Who is your target audience?

This is the FIRST thing you have to know.  Who BUYS
what you’re selling.

In today’s world, this is easy to find.

a. You search Google for the keywords people interested
in buying what you hope to sell are likely searching
for.

b. You take the top 10 web sites under those keywords.

c. You go to Quantcast.com and type in the URL’s.

Now you know who your audience is.

2.  What do they want to buy

a. Go back to the SAME websites in step one.

b. Look at what they’re selling.

c. Now you know what people want to buy.

3. What’s your advantage in the Game?

You need to have a USP or an advantage.

Look for 1 of 3 scenarios.

– People who are underserved
– overserved
– or non consumers.

If they are underserved, you create products to serve them.

If they are overserved, meaning the products are more expensive
and elaborate than they need, you launch a scaled down product.

If they are non-consumers of your product, you make it easy
and convenient for them to use your product or service.

LAW ONE:  Before going to battle, always have a clear, decisive
advantage. That’s what Red Factor is about:  Gaining an advantage.

Now, you know WHO buys, you know WHAT they buy, you know WHAT
your advantage is.

4.  How you will reach ‘em

Go back to the web sites in step one.

Go through and look to see if you can buy ads on their sites or
in ezines.

Do backlink checks with  and see if any of those sites offer ads or
ezines.

Go here:

http://searchanalytics.compete.com/site_referrals/

On the first “site referrals” tab, type in each domain in the top
ten. Now you can see what KEYWORDS deliver the traffic.

You can buy keywords using ppc OR you can get organic rankings.
All you gotta do is find out:

* Where these people are hanging out
* The blogs they read
* The forums they go to
* The things they search for in Google

Then you offer a freebie that’s irrestible to ‘em.

5.  How to get ‘em into your funnel

Now you know how to reach ‘em.  You need to offer bait.  You offer
a free report  or other bait to get people into your sales funnel
so you can follow up with ‘em.

What attractive report can you offer that people will crawl over
broken glass to get?  THAT is what you offer on your “Squeeze”
page.

6.  Send ‘em emails

Send ‘em emails and promotions that get ‘em to buy.

The idea here is to find other things they want to buy, join
the affiliate programs, write up promos and send ‘em to your list.

You’ll also want to publish content to your list.  You can write
that yourself or hire writers.

Once people are on your list, you send content and offers.  There is
a sequence to that that my friend Lee McIntyre has proven to be very
effective:

Content. Pitch.  Content.  Pitch. For every pitch, send a piece of
content. My friend Jim Edwards used to do: Content. Content. Pitch.

You can send offers for your own products or those from other people.
You can do your pitches in the emails, in blog posts, by video, by
audio, by webinar, by Ustream, or by teleseminar.

In Promo Dashboard, I call this rolling out “The Full Arsenal.”  You
use all the tools that work for you and fit who you are.

7. Turn every customer into an affiliate

In the ideal world, you wanna turn every customer into an affiliate.

The idea is that you make it easy for ‘em to get articles, links,
banners and tools they can stick on a blog, Facebook or Myspace
page.

SUMMARY”

*  Know who buys
*  Know what they buy
*  Know where they hang out at
*  Offer ‘em a tasty freebie they can’t refuse
*  Send ‘em content and offers
*  Get ‘em all to be your affiliate

If you wanna get fancy, have ‘em post and talk to you on your blog
and Twitter.  Get ‘em into a Facebook group.

Poof!  Now you know the simplicity of marketing online.  Isn’t that
10X clearer than a LOT of the things you’ve read to date?

You probably know someone who needs to read this article.  Would
you post it on your blog, pass it along to ‘em on Twitter or spread
the word to ‘em on Facebook?

I know they’ll appreciate the CLARITY.  In marketing, there is no
100% certainty.  But there is CLARITY.

Simple, clear thinking about how to pay your bills and have a nice
life by sellin’ stuff online.

This is what I offer you.

In a time when it seems like everything is so complexl, there is
an essential simplicity.  It isn’t always easy.

But it is CLEAR.

CRYSTAL CLEAR thinking.

I hope it’s all CRYSTAL to you now after readin’ this article.
Spread the word.

Clarity exists at marlonsnews.com

I’ve been around longer than most. Seen more things than most.
Tried more things that worked than most.  Had more things fail
than most.  Read more than most.  And traveled and spoken more
than most.

Out of all that, there’s on thing I have to offer you:

Clarity.

- Marlon
