On this page you will find information about some of the main social networking sites as well as tricks and tactics for automation and what, when and how to post and add value to your profiles. Tools to help make the process run at an efficient level so as to leave you time to work on your business, not just in your business. You will find updates with videos and content showing how to set up sites, automate, use tools, secret tricks and more starting with the most well known sites. Facebook:
Overview
This site is great for connecting with friends, family, coworkers, and other acquaintances you know or meet along the way. A good way for people to get to know who you are, what your interests are and see the value you add.
Signing up is free and takes little time to get going. You can add friends using your email address(s) or by using the search feature. In addition, you can join fanpages and groups for just about any subject, business or person you can think of as well as create your own fanpage or group.
(On a side note, FB is a great place to do PPC (pay-per-click) advertising with very specific targeting and low CPC (cost per click). Click here for more PPC advertising information.)
I will ad a video in the next few days to show you how to set up a group/fanpage.
Tactics:
- Seek out groups/fanpages and friends that are part of your target market often and join/fan/friend them.
- Add 30-50 new friends from other profiles/pages weekly or semiweekly
- Promote your blog post to 20 friends using a note or a link weekly or semiweekly
- Comment on other pages/groups/profiles daily after reading enough to get a grasp of how the group runs and communicates
- Update your profile (and/or page) 2-3x daily (1-2 personal 1 business)
- Add long (400-600 words) content 2x/week (can be same as what you post on your blog)
- Add short (100 words) content 2x per week (can be same as what you post on your blog)
- Provide education and entertainment as well as enabling communication and collaboration
