Top 3 Ways to Create Content Without Writing It Yourself

Thursday, April 2nd, 2009

One of the biggest things to overcome in creating your own product, website, newsletter or article is creating the content for it. There are people who feel confident in their writing skills to write their own content, but far more people who don’t think they can write. Another issue with writing and creating your own content is the time it takes to do it. Sometimes, even great writers want to focus their skills on other tasks or simply don’t have the time to do all the writing they need done. If you fall into either of those categories (don’t think you can write or don’t have time to write) don’t worry, you are about to learn the top 3 ways to create content without writing it yourself. These methods are purchasing or finding private label rights products, hiring a ghost writer and creating an audio or video.

1) Private Label Rights

Private label rights (PLR) products are a great way to get content for an article, product, newsletter or website. There are many places to get PLR products, some are free and some you pay for. In most cases you will pay somewhere between $10 and $50 for a bundle of many PLR articles and/or books. There will be a lot of crap to sort through, but most of the time you will find some great information. The next thing you will need to do is change the article or book enough to make it your own. A great way to do this is to add an introduction and a conclusion then change the wording of a few sentences or use synonyms of some words. After those simple changes you have yourself a brand new article or book written by you!

2) Ghost Writers

Like PLR products, ghost writers as well cost money. When hiring a ghost writer you will want to test out their writing by having them write a paragraph if they will be doing an article or an outline with introduction if they are doing a book or whole product. Once you decide who you are going to use you will need to be very specific on the details of what you want written and set a timeline for when you want things finished. Also, when they have finished a portion be sure to check to make sure they have not plagiarized it. Ghost writers will vary greatly in price, but don’t be too quick to jump to the cheapest one, they may do the worst work… but not always, so check every prospect out.

3) Audio or Video

Creating an audio or video can be one of the easiest and least expensive ways to create content or products. If you find an article, book or even your PLR products that you’d like to use, you simply read it into a mic and add bits of your own information in throughout. For a video you can do the same thing while sitting in front of a camera or you can do a screen capture video where the camera is just of your screen and your voice. Put together a couple slides to show while you talk and you’ve got a video. Both of these options (audio or video) can be free as most computers have built in webcams and mics already.

Now you know 3 different ways to create content without writing it yourself. You are armed with the ability to quickly and easily promote yourself with articles, sell new products or draw people to your website with great content.
