“I need content for my website, newsletter, blog…. but i don’t want to write my own…”
Does this sound familiar? I know myself that I do like to write but the time it takes me to write an article, ebook, ecourse, website information etc, it just takes me way too long to do it. If you are like me and you want content but don’t want to, or can’t write it yourself here are some great options…

Once you find some great PLR products you will need to do a few things. First you will need to look through what you have and decided which ones are of value that you will use and which ones aren’t. Remember that you can use some of it for ideas on what to write about just to get you started or you can use the actual article, book or software as content.
To use it as content and not just an idea, I suggest you do the following.
- Add an introduction of your own
- Change some sentences or word (think synonyms)
- Add a conclusion
Once you have done this the article will be unique to you. You are able to post it article sites and on your webpage and more knowing it’s completely yours. Technically you don’t have to change a thing on any of it, but to be safe and keep your integrity it’s always best to make changes.
Another option for PLR products is to take a bunch of similar articles and make them into an ebook that you can give away for free or sell. Yet another possibility is to take a PLR ebook and make it into a bunch of articles that you can use over time. It could be weeks or months worth of articles all already done. What a time saver.
Hiring a Ghost Writer
Hiring a ghost writer can be a great way to get content for your website, newsletter, product or articles. You basically pay someone to do all the writing for you while you still get to put your name on it.
A few things to remember when hiring a ghost writer:
- Check their references or read other things they have written
- Make sure they know they can’t use this article or book themselves
- Have them write a paragraph or outline with introduction before officially hiring them (will cost a little)
- Give them detailed specifics of what they are to write about
- Keep them to specific deadlines
- Check their work for plagiarism
You can find ghost writers on places like elance or craigslist, although there are many many more places that are equally good, this is what I use the most. Once you have your written piece from them it is yours to do whatever you want with. Use it as a newsletter article, submit it to article directories, turn it into a product to sell and more.
Video and Audio
This by far has to be one of the easiest ways to make content. Video and Audio are percieved to be of much higher quality than the written ebook or report. You can take articles, books, reports, newstories and so much more and turn them into an audio or video by simply reading it into a microphone or in front of a camera and interjecting bits of your own information, ideas or opionions.
Another great reason to do audio or video is that speaking is much easier than writing. Instead of sitting down to write something, just sit down and talk about it like you are telling your best friend about whatever your content is.
Most computers these days come with built in microphones and webcams that you can use. A couple other options are to get your own video camera (I have a flip Mino HD that I LOVE) or you can do screen capture videos if you don’t want your face on the screen. This happens to be my preference as I don’t always like to be on camera. A screen capture video is exactly what it sounds like. You are taking a video of your screen, so anything you do on your screen while you are recording will be on the video. At the same time everything you say is also in the video. For example if you are teaching how to do something on the computer it will show exactly what you are doing while you explain it. Also you can create a slide show and flip through the slides while you talk to have a presentation style video also.
To make a screen capture video is pretty easy and can be free. I use a free software called CamStudio that I downloaded onto my computer and was using within minutes to do exactly what I wanted. Camtasia is another great option that comes with a lot more features, but the costs are much higher.
